This product has worked great ever since I recieved it. My original Adapter failed basically due to wear and tear. I had had my old one for 3 years before purchasing this one. No problems at all. You just have to be sure to store the Adapter and chords properly or else the attached ends will be damaged. Great Buy!!

The adapter I received when I ordered this item is not HP brand merchandise. The item title "Original HP..." would lead one to expect it should be. It does work with my dv 1000, and I intend to keep it. Can't comment on durability as I've only had it a week.

I used the charger maybe 3 times before it got sooooo hot that we were no longer able to plug into the wall. Don't waste your money. Go to the store and buy a universal adapter.

This is NOT an original HP adapter, and the voltage and amper are slightly different than what advertised (19V instead of 18.5V and 4.74A instead of 3.5). Very disappointing...
