I purchased this charger for my HP Pavilion DV6500 laptop. I had it for about 2 weeks when it would start intermittantly stop charging my laptop. I would shake the adapter box a couple of times, thinking it might be a loose wire or something, and it would work again just fine. Then after having for another week without any problems I could not get it to work at all. I tried everything I could to get it to work and nothing seemed to help. After a more through inspection of the cable I found a hold in the outer insulating rubber covering and could see all the way to the wires underneath. The device has not been put through any unusal handling on my part and should have been more throughly inspected at the QA product line. This was a complete waste of money and I would NEVER recommend this product to anyone. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go through HP or whoever the manufacturer of your laptop is for ANY kind of cable or powering device!!!!

I bought several items, this charger is suppose to have a good performance, I just got it and it overhits with just 30min of being conneted to the computer. I used to buy good things in Amazon, but I see it can be trust it anymore.Hopefully they take the actions needed to correct this issue

this was purchased to replace an HP power supply that had a bad connection at the plug. We use to have to finagle the power cord just so to get the battery to charge. Now with this new power supply we don't have to worry about the connection. This works great and save us about $50 over buying a new power supply from HP.

The last charger I had broke, it like twisted into a U shape. This charger came a little late for me but it's been great. Its very, very easily unplugged which gets annoying, so I just toss the whole thing behind my desk so nothing will touch it. Other than that, its great.
