At Christmas time last year we ordered a power adaptor from E-bay and its quality was so dissapointing that I found myself looking to Amazon to solve the monster it had become by July. I bought two HP DV2200 laptops for my daughters for use in college. Unfortunately, we did not condition either battery at the time and their original batteries lasted about 15 minutes. I bought them each one of these batteries and now they get close to 2 hours on battery (we conditioned them first by fully charging and fully discharging 3 times). This was a good replacement battery for their HP laptop.

Purchased the AC Adapter Charger for my laptop and I am sorry to say that this product is garbage. The adapter keeps cracking and exposes the wires. I keep wrapping it with electrical tape. The charger works, but the cord that goes from the wall to the power brick is already starting to become stripped (showing the inside wires) at the end that plugs into the power brick. It started to reveal the inside wires probably a week after I bought it. I have now had it for roughly 4 weeks.

I do not suspect it will last much longer.

Also, the charger is not the same one that is pictured. [...]
